Overview

Welcome to WaypointNomad (“we,” “our,” or “us”), a community map app for digital nomads. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use WaypointNomad.

Your Account

You don’t need to provide personal details to use WaypointNomad. Your username may be auto-generated or chosen by you. You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your account.

User Content

WaypointNomad lets you post waypoints, comments, check-ins, and other content (“User Content”).

You retain ownership of your User Content. By posting it in the app, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, host, and distribute it within the app.

Subscriptions

WaypointNomad offers optional subscriptions (“WaypointNomad Pro”) in weekly, monthly, and yearly durations.

Billing: Payments are charged to your Apple ID upon purchase.

Free Trial: A 3-day free trial may be offered with the monthly plan. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription automatically converts to paid.

Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple ID will be charged within 24 hours of the period ending.

Cancellation: Cancel anytime through your Apple ID subscription settings: Settings > [Your Apple ID] > Subscriptions > WaypointNomad.

Refunds: Refunds are handled by Apple. Request refunds at https://reportaproblem.apple.com.

Price Changes: Any subscription price change will take effect at your next renewal.

Intellectual Property

The Waypoint Nomad app, including its name, logo, design, and software, is our property and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works without permission.

Accuracy of Content

Waypoints, comments, and other information in the app are submitted by users and are not verified by us. You acknowledge that information in the app may be inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete, and you use it at your own risk.

Third-Party Services

Waypoint Nomad uses Apple App Store, Google Firebase, RevenueCat, Apple Maps, and Expo. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of California, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in California state or federal courts.
